Next year, get a skin-head band....you know, diversity.
Unlikely, since Jay-Z has served as consultant/producer of the halftime show since 2019.

Jay-Z? That makes sense now. Excellent choice, really classy.
Maybe next time he can choose an artist that actually makes music.

Your opinion is way off, that artist won 5 Grammys the previous week, this was voted by music experts

I'm not the only one with that opinion.

I try to appreciate rap and hip-hop as an art form, but it’s too far afield from what I enjoy in music for me to connect with it. I did enjoy the LA halftime show 3-4 years ago. Great production, variety of styles, and a few selections I recognize. I just couldn’t get into what Lamar was doing.

The ratings were great, though, and while I don’t think you can compare ratings now to thirty years ago (the fact that Michael Jackson held the record for most-watched halftime show until this year just tells you how huge he was), a lot of people tuned in so I don’t expect the NFL to push for something different in the near future.

I wish they would dig deeper into the pool of black artists, though, and look beyond rappers. She isn’t well known, but Allison Russell is an edgy lady whose music I enjoy. Hell, I’d even look forward to JayZ’s wife making a return appearance and focus on Carter Country selections. It’s an uneven album, but there were a handful of songs in addition to Texas Hold ‘Em I really like and I’m sure would appeal to a broader audience.

Everyone likes their type of music, I grew up when rap really took off, was influenced by the music, it's mostly about fucking bitches and their surroundings, 40+ years later, I'm still fucking whores

The Chiefs got blown out, the booing of Taylor Swift, the cheering of Donald Trump was worth its weight in gold. Not a fan of Kendrick Lamar, so during the halftime show, I just re-uped on food and beer.

The game wasn’t a wonderful nailbiter, but I’ll admit that I had some interest while watching the faces on some of the chief stars trying to salvage some dignity for entire 2nd half.

The halftime show didn’t immediately blow me away. I am becoming interested in some of the artistic imagery that I’m learning about after the fact. And the level of pettiness in the ‘not like us’ performance is compelling as well. It reminds me of the old school pettiness of early 70’s diss tracks from Neil young/lynard skynard and between the Beatles post breakup.

Glad you brought up the those 70s comps. I will remember now to not look down on Kendrick for expending so much effort going after Drake since Lennon in particular could have asked him to “hold my beer” back then.

That was a mess up Super Bowl

Did a different Kansas City Chiefs team showed up to play?

Did Mahomes had too much drinking time and sexy time the night before?

He got sacked at least 6 times and the Eagles were only rushing 4 defenders, not once did the Eagles called a Blitz on Mahomes.

Imagine all the folks who bet millions on the Chiefs to win the game and lost all their money.

Their line play is what lost them the game. They better spend the offseason beefing up the line on both sides of the ball.

Oh, yeah, and find a younger tight end while they are at it.
