US Steel is a shadow of its former self. Nippon just might build it up, meaning jobs for Americans.
Just Like most of the major Japanese Auto Makers. Companies like Toyota, Kia, and Several others that have huge plants right here.
They are probably more “American” than Ford or GM.

I recall the scene in American Carol where two potential suicide bombers were sent into a village to find a target. After being gone for an hour the chief went to find them. They were waiting in line to vote and discussing the issues of the day.
Reality: a German POW escaped from an American POW camp in Kansas. 25 years later he contacts the FBI from Chicago to give himself up. He is nearing retirement, his children are in college, and his wife loves his accent. The FBI asks about any criminal activity. He says none. They say congratulations, you're a good American.
The people of Gaza have very little. How would their world view change if they had something to lose? If they had safety and jobs. It takes a lot to rebuild a city from scratch. Lots of jobs.
Remember the Marshall Plan of World War II. Started by democrats, loved by democrats.
