It goes something like this:
Trump before election: I will lower prices.
Trump after election: It is hard to lower prices.
Reporter: You said you would lower prices.
Trump: It is the Obama Biden left wing that makes it hard to lower prices.
Reporter: Any proof ?
Trump: It is common sense.

Those of you who like buying from Temu can expect higher 'prices' too.
If the USPS can ever figure out what to do.
With the repeal of 'de minimus' on tariffs for good shipped from China, it looks like you buyers (as importers of the goods) will be responsible for paying the 10% (or greater) tariff.

... Are you lads aware there's a Bird Flu issue?
That is prolly the reason for the High cost of eggs.
And the issue started BEFORE Trump was on.
But, as I mentioned - other grocery prices have started to fall.

Oh. Now you'll recognize a possible pandemic situation. The way y'all acted on the last one you'd think you would be sticking UV lights up chickens backsides while dousing bleach in their feed.
But maybe this is part of your plans for the great recovery: inoculate 100s millions of chickens. Hell. We might have to open the borders to find people to help with that.

Another falsehood Salty. Grocery prices in every category are rising or remaining steady. Prices are not going down.
It’d be nice if just ONE time you didn’t state something false.

Would you please provide evidence of these 'other grocery prices' that 'have started to fall'?
Which groceries? How much have their prices fallen?
The all-items Consumer Price Index (CPI), a measure of economy-wide inflation, was unchanged from November 2024 to December 2024 and was up 2.9 percent from December 2023. The CPI for all food increased 0.2 percent from November 2024 to December 2024, and food prices were 2.5 percent higher than in December 2023.
The level of food price inflation varies depending on whether the food was purchased for consumption at home or away from home:
Quote:
The food-at-home (grocery store or supermarket food purchases) CPI increased 0.1 percent from November 2024 to December 2024 and was 1.8 percent higher than December 2023; and
The food-away-from-home (restaurant purchases) CPI increased 0.3 percent in December 2024 and was 3.6 percent higher than December 2023.
In 2025, overall food prices are anticipated to rise at a rate similar to that of 2024 and at a slower pace than the historical average rate of growth. In 2025, prices for all food are predicted to increase 2.2 percent, with a prediction interval of -0.4 to 4.9 percent. Food-at-home prices are predicted to increase 1.3 percent, with a prediction interval of -2.7 to 5.5 percent. Food-away-from-home prices are predicted to increase 3.6 percent, with a prediction interval of 2.0 to 5.1 percent.

On Tuesday, Clint Reid got a message from delivery company DHL saying a Shein order of $197 worth of items for his employees' daughters would be returned to sender if he did not pay an extra $39.07.
That fee included $20.76 in import duties, $1.31 in regulatory charges and $17 in duty tax processing.
Reid is something of an expert in the subject. His St. George, Utah-based company Zonos specializes in calculating duties and taxes, including for outbound packages for the United States Postal Service.

Bought anything from Temu or Shein lately?
So much for China paying the tariffs.

... So, yer sayin' that Target - the National retailer
did NOT claim that they were LOWERING prices??
And you're also sayin' that shoppes and grocery stores
DON'T have handbills and adverts that say "LOWERING PRICES"??
... Kroger's ... Safeway... Publix... Shop-n-Save,
Wegman's ... Giant Eagle - and the like??
... If You ARE claiming that - you're obviously out of touch
with what's going on, or just simply ignorant of the FACTS.

What you’re saying is pure silliness. We already pointed out that Target stated they were lowering prices on items long before the election nearly a year ago.
And if you see a weekly advertisement or sale paper claiming that items are on sale, that’s not a lowering of prices. It’s a sale and is generally temporary and only for a few items. I’d say you know better than what you’re saying but that’d be a foolish assumption on my part.
It may come as a surprise to you but those sale papers existed all through the inflationary period and during the last two years under Biden.
Prices are not down and aren’t going down.

And Biden had 100 million chickens slaughtered... and we didn't feed any illegal aliens. Since the tariffs didn't happen, do you want to revise you comment back into reality?
I hear they're having a government surplus sale on cheese and condoms.

Sir, many of those chicken died from the bird flu.
And most of the chickens who didn't die of the flu were killed by the farmers. Joe didn't have time to go town to town and slaughter them. He was in Delaware eating ice cream.

... No - Not on sale - but "LOWERING Of PRICES!"
and "WE'RE LOWERING PRICES!" .. . THAT is what they say.
See? ... That means the grocery is LOWERING prices.
Please try to keep up. ... I understand with ALL the
Winning going on - but "Lowering Prices" surely means
exactly what it sayes. ... Rather self-explanatory.
The voters have voted for LOWER prices and that's what
the grocery shoppes are starting to give them. ...
