political tension in Panama in the 1960's was the eventual reason Carter negotiated the return. the costs had nothing to do with it and the canal had been expanded by Panama.


the canal fees are one the largest sources of revenue for Panama. possibly the largest.


China is trying to control the canal. Trump sees this as the threat it is.

Panama didn't take Trump's hotel. follow your own breadcrumbs sport. Trump didn't even own it, he had a name and management deal.
