Sound post, sir.
My thoughts: All this is bullshit. Not Tiny's OP. Just the idea of it.

You really have no freaking clue what is going on with China. Read Commodity market information from South America and Africa.

The USA has a measly 35 billion barrels of oil reserves. Canada has 171 billion barrels! That's the third highest in the world, after Venezuela and Saudi Arabia! The United States Geological Service believes the Greenland offshore may contain 18 billion barrels. With good old American ingenuity exploiting that resource, we'd produce more than OPEC and Russia combined!
And not only that, but as stated by others Greenland has a large resource of rare earth metals, almost as big as the USA! Right now we're dependent on China for those. And given that the Republicans and Democrats are dead set on fucking China, and China's likely to retaliate, that's like the sword of Damocles hanging over the U.S. economy and military.
The primary location for rare earth metals in our country is in California, and fat chance those can be fully exploited with the Californians "not in my backyard" mentality. So, practically, our only option is to invade Greenland! We take over the country and convert it into an environmental wasteland! There are only 50,000 or 60,000 people there, mostly on the coasts, so who cares?
And then as to food, well, with the 20% tariffs we'll be placing on imports, it will be great to have Canadian wheat and Mexican fruits and vegetables entering Texas duty free! That will hold down the cost. And if we do decide to purchase food or anything else outside the boundaries of our new and expanded country, what better way to protect trade routes than by taking over the Panama canal and Greenland! With polar ice melting, the Greenland/Canada gap will be the new Strait of Hormuz for all kinds of products and commodities. And we'll control both sides!
What's not to like about this?

I think eccieuser was agreeing with you, your first paragraph anyway. There's no bullshit in your post, it's all in my post #19!

No it would not. The last time we illegally invaded a country over oil it did not end well for us. We wound up in a recession and got our asses kicked by a hostile dirt poor third world nation.
Canada is our closest ally, tRump as well as his supporters can't seem to comprehend the fact that he is not a dictator therefore cannot just snap his fingers and make an asinine move like that.
He will waste time and tax payer money getting blocked by Congress, cause the republicans barely have a razor thin majority and he never get enough votes to do something that stupid.

Wrong as usual...
Greenland has a major military facility to assist Europe from foreign aggression like Ukraine and Poland (Putin's next target)
Panama has sanctions on Russian vessels from passing through the canal (Putin wants those sanctions lifted)
Canada has territorial rights to the Artic Oil and gas reserves as well as maritime routes. (tRumps boss Putin wants those right diminished)
you talk about Biden, but he's not Putin's weak minded little bitch, tRump is. everytime a tRump supporter tries to make a false accusation about Biden they get slapped in the face with truth and facts. one cannot defend the stupid shit tRump does but it sure is fun to watch em try.

You are so clueless, Biden actually signaled weakness and basically funded Russia's invasion of Ukraine by helping Russia get more money from Fossil Fuel Energy sales before the invasion.

Yes. Chiquito, this is all posturing. Getting in position before the real moving begins.
Stud, I'm sure you know more about the farming and agriculture having to do with China. I just know about the logistics of the relationship.
Just sayin'

A question for those who understand the mind of Trump, would he seriously consider using the military to take over Greenland and the Panama Canal? How about to take out narcotraficantes in Mexico?
He’s trolling about making Canada the 51st state. That would be stupider than giving Washington D.C. statehood if you’re a Republican. Not sure about the rest.
|
If Trump actually said he would like to make Canada the 51st State, then he is loony as fuck. First of all, Canada is its own Country you can't turn a country into a State of another country that's dumb. Besides America can't get out of its own way. This country has become so dysfunctional its not even funny.

Why can’t another country become a state of the United States? What legal language in the constitution prevents that from happening?
