Default VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

Are any of you people in Florida concerned about a Robert Craft type of incident happening at an AMP? I altered my appetite greatly after the video incident and it is killing me!

Unless you got Robert Craft money and notoriety. I don’t think they are caring about recording Joe the Plumber

In this day and age, there is video surveillance almost everywhere you go. Hotels, massage parlors, you name it. Even at an average residence, the person living there might have multiple cameras at their front door, their hallways, and maybe even in their bedroom. Some cameras are so small, they are difficult to see.

So yeah, there is risk no matter where you "meet" someone.

I'm not particularly concerned about LEO cameras in the actual spa...it's very doubtful to me that they had legit approval to put those cameras there in the Robert Kraft case...it's a violation of rights to perform surveillance inside a private establishment without consent of the owner and customers, which is why the charges were dropped. LEO had enough evidence to bust the parlour without the video evidence, but they got greedy and wanted to go after customers too. I seriously doubt they'd attempt to go through all that again knowing it won't result in prosecution of any customers.

Correct me if I’m wrong, LE did not know Craft was involved before the cameras were used? Also, did everyone walk in that case?

Correct, Kraft was not a suspect until after the video evidence was obtained. But yeah Duraman is right the walk of shame is for real for those guys.

I meant, wasn’t all charges dropped for everyone because video was illegal and could not be used in court?

If you are really concerned about cameras and tracking, you should get a map and avoid all stop light cameras. They take video 24x7 and meta tag every license plate. The total police state then has access to the data since it is all gathered in public. They typically keep the video for about 2 years but the metadata is kept permanently. The reporting software can mine your complete history in less than 10 seconds, including all points you have traveled, and a heat map showing route frequency. All available even if you have had no traffic violations. Fed reporting can pull in rental car data, but it takes 24 hours for the batch process to run. No warrant required.

You can thank The Patriot Act later.
