A nice wish but with the atmosphere in the country right now impossible. I have been all over this planet and yes it does work.The big plus it is taxed and regulated..Thailand is my favorite..it really is not legal but and this is the big but it is part of their tourism. Think the key phrases are....."it really is not legal"...."if you know what you are doing." As a young 20 year old crossed from El Paso to Juarez, MX. Armed with just enough Spanish had the best weekend of my life. Until detained in a hotel lobby by local police and stripped of all my USD and Pesos. They left me with just enough to get back to EL Paso. Classic shake down. They kept repeating "hueles a cono". Did not know what it meant at the time.

In Thailand unless you are looking for trouble you won’t get any.in as much you can ask the POLICE where to go. Where I was staying in PATAYA if I spelled right . Their is a place called BEACH ave just loaded with young Thai freelances .One was taking to a cop and I just said hi.. it is a part of their culture.Amazing place and the food and booze is so dam cheap
