Trump Secures $100 Billion Win for America
Trump Secures $100 Billion Win for America Before He Even Takes Office
Trump welcomed Japanese CEO Son to Mar-a-Lago where the investor pledged a $100 billion investment in the United States double what he pledged 8 years ago.
Will create a projected 100,000 plus jobs in America.
President Trump an actual leader for the people of America!

Same thing SoftBank did last time, just a bigger number.
Hopefully better results this time.
And yes, it was before inauguration last time too.
Almost $19 billion was invested in WeWork. Whoops. That number kept changing from 2019 to 2023 as they tried to make it look smaller in wake of the problems at WeWork

Let's see how much money actually comes in, and how many jobs actually get created, first before we start calling Bankrupt Casino Guy a financial genius.
My guess is the lion's share will end up in his own coffer, and he doesn't give a shit about the jobs.

your guess would be wrong. it's SoftBank spending the money not Trump or the Government.

That WAS about 38% of his $50 billion investment in America last time, Waco.
He's already planning to spend the money on things this round like AI, and like last time they will pretend this is something new. It's lipstick on a bigger pig.
Don't think he hit his 50k jobs target, either. So 100k jobs is gonna be a bit more fun to watch

If you plunk $19 billion in equity into a company (I assume none of it was debt), how do you change it to make it "look smaller"?

Son revised the amount he claimed to have invested about 4x. Ranging between $11 and $19 billion, rounded.
Do your research

Try to make more sense. You can't "revise" a number once it's booked. You can write it down or off but you can't change the original equity injection.

... Let's give the fellow who WON the election A CHANCE.
(As yer-own "genius" predicted Trump wouldn't win)
Surely will be MORE investments like Softbank to help
spur economic growth and better jobs creation.
... That's TRUMP Success! ... ...

Riiight... sounds fishy, but somehow he kept his job.
So you're saying his latest $100 billion pledge is just monopoly money?

No, just hoping its more wisely invested this time since the 2016 pledge was a disaster.
Same thing happened with the FoxConn deal. The WI plant was never as big and never employed as many people as promised.
If you're noticing the trend, he latches onto shit that overpromises and underdelivers. Or had nothing to do with him, which he says will give us X and instead brings Y.
Classic Trumpybear.

Let's see if he does better this time around #######Salty.
He didn't meet the projections of his first "deal." No reason to assume he'll do better.
But I'm pulling for him to live up to his word - on something!

Does that same ideology hold true for things like Real Estate and business valuations?? Cause I remember when you said something contrary about those.
