Or give Congress the ability to override any pardons.
And, add in no pardons for family members, and that the President cannot pardon himself.

Looking back on history, Gerald Ford actually used the Presidential Pardon effectively, even though he was castigated for it, when he pardoned Nixon. But he was right…..the country needed to move forward from Watergate and Nixon.
Biden is in a similar situation. As opposed to pardoning his son, he could have considered pardoning Trump, and reached an agreement with Trump to move on from the “revenge tour” in exchange for a pardon. Then pardoning Hunter would not have looked so bad.
Like him or hate him, all of us would rather see Trump go on without all the stupid “investigations” that have demolished our governments ability to do its job properly. This partisan nonsense has been going on for almost 40 years. It needs to stop.
Personally, I would rather see Trump go forward with legislation, whether I agree or not with it…..it’s time all elected officials put the country first again. Not partisan agendas.
If Biden had really been thinking of the country first, he would have enacted a Trump pardon immediately after taking office. So much would have been different if he had done so.
Pardoning Hunter was just plain dumb in his part….understandable, based on the tragedy he has had in his life, but still dumb.
History showed that Ford made the right decision on how to use the Presidential pardon. Let’s hope that both Biden and Trump can find the courage and vision to do the same, as opposed to being partisan fools.

Trolling was getting boring……and just because someone doesn’t agree with you does not make them less intelligent.
Anyway, if Biden had the balls to pardon Trump several years ago, it sure would have taken some steam out of his victim card……..and not that it would have changed things, but it all would have played out different.

Well, I never went anywhere, actually. And, to be honest, my loathing of Trump and MAGA remains intact.
I also can name a dozen things or more that the Dems did wrong in this last election cycle, and during the last 4 years…….and the biggest thing is allowing the extremists to control things. And, it’s a lesson for the GOP as well. Extremists eat their own in the end.
Hopefully, in the best of worlds, everyone can now try to have civil discussion about differences, and get out of the personal attacks. But I doubt that as long as Trump is around.
