There were a lot of studies going on to explore what transgender means in science and psychology in Germany in the 1920s. The biology however states that there are many different chromosome sequences that are more common than we thought now that more research is being done however, so there is actually less of a black and white than we had originally thought decades ago. Good science seeks to expand upon good science. For example my previous comments about women with PCOS having similar chromosome structures as someone we'd label intersex. The Olympic athletes that had everyone in a tizzy earlier this year and the list goes on and is getting wider as we speak. There's a good likelihood that lots of us have been with someone who doesn't like up exactly as the norm from a chromosome perspective.
