Sure, it is a bad idea for all the obvious reasons.

But there are other ramifications and unintended consequences. The one that jumped to the front of my brain's anxiety node; the REAL POSSABILITY THAT SOMEONE IN Ukraine TRADES OFF A NUCK TO IRAN. There are Iranians who want to muck Israel and they want to kick off a catastrophic world conflagration.

What exactly do you think is going to happen after what ever supposed peace treaty is signed? A large no man’s land will be created in the east of Ukraine. NATO membership will eventually be established with Ukraine. Basically Eastern Europe will become a giant militarized zone.

Russian aggression in Ukraine has already turned the European continent against them. It will require the death of Putin and some serious diplomacy to overcome the precedent that Putin established.

No. It won't. The largely ethnic Russians in the East will become a Russian aligned nation/province just like ALL of Ukraine was before teh American led color revolution collapsed the legally elected government.

It's STILL visible in many places traveling into the Czech Republic from Germany for example you could see exactly where the border was because of the building quality and maintenance. I think this just supports my opinion not yours. The EU would never consider this unless they were more concerned about Russian aggression and the precedent that would be set by allowing Putin to take over another country in their backyard.

First of all I’m not going to argue the legitimacy of right wing conspiracy theories. Because it’s off topic and a waste of everyone’s time.

Secondly you’re the one who brought up the Deep State in the mistaken belief that there is some kind of conspiracy to start world war three by arming Ukraine with nuclear weapons and admitting them into NATO.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is that Ukraine wants to join the EU, for economic, social, political and military reasons. Russia doesn’t want to let it go because it weakens their own position.

As a result Russia put itself in a precarious position by attempting an invasion of Ukraine. Due to their own military corruption and incompetence they failed in their goals and are now stuck in a position of stalemate and are working furiously to better their position before things collapse on them.

At this stage of the process both sides are flirting with the language of nuclear war in the belief that it will give them a strategic or political advantage.

I believe in what I posted in #7 of this thread.
