Default ATTENTION MODS: "New Thread" / "New Encounter Report" Buttons

To the mods ONLY ; no one else need chime in, but if you don't understand how to follow directions, please reveal yourself

Are these buttons both necessary for this sub-forum or not?

"New Encounter Report" Button I'd obviously for encounters THAT HAPPENED, not for encounters that ALMOST HAPPENED.

Please explain the point of the "New Thread" button for this sub-forum. Can we use it for Q&A and any other discussions concerning the studios or not? Some people think this forum is only for encounters, but the availability of this "other" button makes it seem otherwise.

Please elaborate and feel free to close this post as soon as a mod has answered.

Thank you.

the 'new thread' button doesn't have the template so the new encounter report button is the one to use. You're correct that the 'new thread' is the same as posting a new thread elsewhere but the owners want to keep both of them up

So the NEW THREAD button is available, but if we use it in a sub forum the post will get moved if it's not an encounter?

Yes,

“Fact and opinion“ was moved from “Agency” to coed… despite it was about agencies.

It appears that even though there is a new thread button in all active forums in Dallas, it is only in the strip club forum that you can have a discussion thread that stays in the forum without the mods moving it to Coed.

To the OP, you do not have the option to say who can and cannot post on a thread you start and it be a mandated rule, that is ridiculous! But, you can RTM a post by a poster because they did not adhere to what you said to see how much water your rule for your thread holds if you like.

It's likely because the "new thread" postings in the "Studio forum" become nothing more than a series of personal attacks. The lack of decorum in the those posts is what has brought the attention to them. It's honestly quite nice to see the Dallas forums receiving more moderation. The Houston forums, for example, don't allow threads to derail to the extent that the Dallas forums have.

Okay. It's just that it seems like a lot of threads started in a forum of the appropriate subject, thar are NOT encounters, are getting moved around.

And just to be clear, if I ask a question using "NEW THREAD" about a studio or a studio girl or how the community feels about studios, it belongs and should stay in the studio forum...even though it is NOT an encounter?

Users seem to complain that the above mentioned type of post is not an encounter and therefore needs to be moved.
