If you feel a need to use the name George Floyd to try and justify Jan 6 you are missing both points.

The violence has been well reported we can all see it the intent was to do much worse so anyone claiming otherwise is welcome their delusions.

As for penalty it should depend on the offense. Same with the idiots that loot and burn shit when they don't like something. Its stupid and should bring appropriately unfortunate consequences.

Grown ups are not supposed to point and say 'but they did it too' we should want everyone held accountable.

shocking lack of knowledge. Trump might have been Commander in Chief but perhaps you may be aware of Posse Comitatus? that LIMITS use of US Troops on American soil?

I don't have any unanswered questions related to Jan 6 there are various cases pending and evidence presented may change my mind on some things I am willing to learn what I do not yet know. But I think by now anything relevant that would change the big talking points have come to light

We are all responsible for our own actions. Let the Jan 6 offenders pay the price for what they did. Justice. Good old American Justice.

As for Trump his role is likely going to be remembered as somewhere between noble and narcissistic. Sometimes people want the right thing but take the wrong path. And sometimes the price they pay is a trainwreck level karma fountain that follows them around and splashes on those around them.

So yes I am quite aware of the dysfunction and no it is not limited to a left or right side. If your version of events wants to paint a sitting President the head of every military branch, head of the Justice Dept, and still to this day one of the only humans on the planet that can get the attention of every major news outlet simply by letting them know he has an announcement did everything in his power to upgrade security and failed well you probably considered buying a few offers to buy bridges in your lifetime.
