Good point. Ntxguy’s phrasing was broad and in response to a comment from corona regarding his own practice.

A guy can type up a narrative that he intends to use in a review and share it with a provider before he posts it. Taking a screenshot of the review and sending it after it has been posted should be a violation under a strict interpretation of the guideline.

My use of the term “ROS” was meant to describe the portion of the review being sent vs an actual screenshot of the completed and posted review. I’ve done the former once or twice after seeing a woman who agrees to a review despite having a NRP. I would type up the narrative and send it to her to make sure she doesn’t have an issue with it (obviously, these are “yes” recommendations). She says ok, and I proceed with posting a review.

In the case of my comment about my sharing the ROS with the subject of the review, I do remember asking a moderator at the time and was told I can do whatever I want with my own ROS - including sharing it with that provider. That being said, it was a very long time ago. If current mgmt deems that is inappropriate with the guidelines, I would discontinue doing that in the future.

Pose the question in “Ask a Mod”. Reading the guideline there is no carve-out for your own posts. That’s understandable since what you post in the ML, as an example, could include references to other ML posts. Rather than make staff rule on if a specific post revealed other private-area material, best to make it all against the rules.

I still contend though that if you send a woman a copy of the review before you post it, that shouldn’t be covered. It’s not yet in a hidden area.

What TinMan and Corona says makes sense but in the case of this review the ad shows this review with the ROS in all its glory.
