Since this is a two part'er, Trump is VERY much similar to demonizing a part of current society as extremely bad, such as anyone who isn't a TRUMPER GOPer. Essentially the same terms Juden that was used by Hitler in COUNTLESS speaches is being used to gaslight an entire sector of politics by one guy.
The fact that you don't see it is alarming. It doesnt' matter if someone is middle of the road politics, or even if they are conservative democrats, the terms used, are UNIVERSALLY applied at a Trump rally. Those terms he's used:
"Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and radical left", are inter-changeable in the minds of his rally-goers, and I'd even say, to most of the conservatives here on this board. You're either with us, or youre against us mentality.
There is no middle ground in Trumplandia. You are either a true believer or you are the enemy. Simple as that.
In general most-99% of news sources are saying exactly the same thing, "Of course Israel is entitled to defend themselves" and even more, "Hamas wants to be at war with Israel, and when someone says that, they should be taken at their word".
As I write that last part, I cannot help but to think that in some ways, the Israeli's and the GOP think they are in the same fight. Israel vs. the Hamas, and the GOP vs. DEMs. ....or course that is a bit of a stretch, but sometimes it's really not all that far.
On this board, we've seen a group that is eager to do the big restart. A term to refer to a civil war, waged within the US, because they perceive the other side as the traitors of conservatism, and only can be dealt with by violence. And I'd even go further, where the comparison of "which side has the good guns" is often parallels in many posts.
The result is from so FUCKING much gaslighting that has happened out loud by the Trumper clan, from ppl beyond Dirty Donald, but even the likes of those morons that keep a constant drivel of monologue on FOX news which is on rinse and repeat. All in vain attempts to sell books and be relevant. Ted Cruz, Mark Levin, Huckster-aby, and lets not forget even the women of FOX, like Ingraham, Dagan McDowell, and really almost the entire clan. Talk about a raging echo-chamber of koolaid drinkers. Hardly one person there with a voice of reason. They are led down the primrose path of Dems are bad, and Republicans are good; despite the shellacking they got in 2020, 2022 and recently. They only see their boy Trump as the mechanism to get back into power.
So what's wrong with that? Well, besides the completely baseless claims of Donald Trump about really "anything that comes out of his mouth", he's put an entire segment of gaslit population on High. When words lead to actions, or consequences, such as what was on Jan 6th, regardless of what you call it, it's tied to speech.
why is it bad, Well my conservative friends, Had Hillary decided to not call anyone deplorable, she likely would have won the 2016 election. So when you all lose in 2024, you'll have that to reflect on similarly.
