I have an admiration for these people and their way of life. Very few Americans know the everyday life of an Israeli citizen. Living in an environment that most people would develop ptsd Israelis think nothing of it.
Iam so proud to have fought with and beside Israeli forces. Their military is inspiring.

I know the UN partition plan paved the way for them being independent. The Israelis certainly cherry picked what they found favourable from the UN. The UN was the reason they gave back the land.

No, I don't think we should give any country that kind of money. Have you ever had friend that expects you to always be there for them and you always are and they seem grateful. But when you need them to help you do something they are unavailable or they have a lame excuse. I call people like that frenemys. That's how I see America's relationship with Israel. They have some sort of grip on this country that I don't completely understand.

They have stabbed us in the back many a time.
I have wanted *aid* held up a time or two to them.

But you gotta admire how they will take a product that is on the shelf and improve it. Like the F4 Phantom. I think they came up with a way to use exisiting material to make it have the same performance (if not better) characteristics with better reliability and fuel economy. Pretty good for an old bird.

We've been holding onto that $$$ for a few decades. *I* would have used it to for investments so as to get interest payments. But that is not the point of "frozen assets."

That little area of the world hasn't had peace for IDK who long and I don't see that changing in the future. Just because a land war didn't break out under any administration is no right to say that you brought peace there.

Israel has always had a heavy handed approach in dealing with their problems there. Sending an F-16 to a Gaza downtown street to kill one person is using a sledge hammer to kill a gnat. And the Arabs have responded in kind. At least they used up alot of resources in this latest affair.
