A Gag-Order Workaround For President Trump
Anybody here old enough to remember the OJ trial? I mean the trial of OJ Stimpson, the Former NFL S star who murdered his wife and her lover.
During that months long trial, Jay Leno, the last of the funny late night comics, made fun of the OJ tiral's Judge , Judge Lance ITO, savagely, mercilessly, mockingly, and did it every night. Finally, Ito did some legal maneuver to muzzle Leno so that he would be in contempt if Leno made any more jokes about him.
No Problem: Every night, Leno would announce "The Ito Joke Of The Night" and bring on some other celebrity stand up comic for 30 seconds to deliver a scathing, humiliating one-liner directed at Judge Ito.
I think that Mr. Trump should do the same thing or something like that. At a rally he could say something like, " Judge So-And-So says I can't talk about (whatever) so . . ." and then gesture to someone next to him on the podium who would make inflammatory statements forbidden to Trump.
Maybe Jay Leno would do it.

Interesting comparison. OJ murders two people, then gets acquitted in part due to his attorneys shifting focus from evidence that would have convicted him onto social issues that caused great public debate.
Trump murders his political career, then spends years working to shift focus onto conspiracy theories and left wing media which inspires great public debate.
Both will always have supporters that say 'he didn't do nuthin wrong' but neither will ever come close to regaining the status they once held.
I would love to see Leno on the Trump tour roasting people without a network he has to answer to but at the end of the day Trump really just needs to focus on presenting his defense in Georgia those charges could derail his freedom perioud not just a chance at being President again

Personally I would like the media just cover the opposition with as much zeal as they do Trump. So for they have not presented any real evidence that Trump did anything illegal or comes close to criminal. It might come
Yes I watched the OJ trial every chance I got. My opinion he got away with murder, however that wasn’t the jury’s verdict. I kinda was amused at the Judge .it was indeed the Johnny Cochran show. He did his job , can’t fault him for that.

Do they gots the guts?!?
Maybe you are familiar with the card game - Guts. I know it as Gut/No Gut. It's elegantly simple: everyone puts up an ante and gets two cards. You go around the table from the dealer and declare either Gut, i.e. bet, or NO Gut, i.e. pass. High had wins (those that Gut). Coincidentally, it often is considerably more fun while drinking frost adult beverages a-plenty.
Apparently, one Matt Gaetz has come up with a version of this for a Trump legal strategy

Matt Gaetz Outlines Bold Plan That Would Give Trump Immunity from Jack Smith’s Cases Against Him
by Warner Todd Huston, The Western Journal Aug. 9, 2023
Republican Matt Gaetz has put forth a bold plan that could blunt the Democratic harassment of former President Donald Trump and expose some of the left’s worst abuses all at the same time.
On Tuesday, the Florida congressman challenged his caucus to take action to stymie the constant indictments against Trump, which are little more than election meddling thinly disguised as “justice.”
Gaetz wants to call special counsel Jack Smith to account for his actions and to offer Trump immunity by having him testify before Congress as a whistleblower.
“I’m worried that too many of my Republican colleagues in Congress are infected with the same loser mentality that infected Congress in the early days of the Mueller investigation,” Gaetz wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter)...

My Guess is that Mr. Trump will be incarcerated at some point, either before the election or after. It may even be that he is elected president anyway.
Whatever the case, one really important item he should be exploring right now (already) is who will run with him as VP?
Its ghotta be someone who will commit to busting him out via pardon when that person becomes president via the 25th Amendment process. Ideally, this person would be someone I'd vote for as president in 2028 and 2032.

Slid a little off-topic there, sorry.
The strategy outlined in my OP was wishful thinking. Eleced or not, jailed or not: I'd really like to see the liberal judicial establishment get a huge middle finger and a verbal f**k you broadcast on nationally reporting news outlets.

Trump did not murder his political career. The Progressive/Liberal/Socialist Democrats started firing the live ammunition of lies the second he announced in 2016.
Just think how well off the Country would be if all of those ingrates would have have supported him.
Instead, we have what will prove to be one of the most inept and corrupt individuals in the White House.

... Interesting take of yours there, mate.
... "Gag-order" or not, Trump just needs to continue
to get the TRUTH out.
... Think of all the LIES told of Trump by the
CORRUPT Democrat establishment -"Russia Collusion",
piss "dossier", "quid pro-quoe" with Ukraine
phone call, and on and on...
WHERE is the fairness and honesty??
And NOW the CORRUPT FBI/DOJ - the TRUE cornerstone
of all the lies - surely wants to control what
Trump can say?? ... And a Judge is gonna allow
these Liars to do THAT?
What kind o' country do you lads got here??

Recall that the US Constitution failed to get ratified when first written. So they came up with the grand bargain, aka The Bill of Rights. And you know what was the very first, i.e. not second or tenth, but the very first thing they put pen to paper to cover? Freedom of speech. Go frick'n figure.
Also notice in the text that it does not include things like - only if a government disinformation board approves or when the government allows or where the government censors your distribution of your speech. Nope. They chose not to include those provisos.
Oh sure, some CFTs could argue it was because they were simply in a hurry and wanted to keep it short and sweet, figuring that all that crud could easily be sorted out later.
OR NOT!

PSA for Compassionate Conservatives
Whatever you do today; STOP and take a few moments to practice and review your Red Cross skills. Start with the Heimlich maneuver, which as you may recall, is a technique used to help someone who is choking. Lordy knows, the CFTs are gonna be gagging on a gag order in record numbers today. Sure, the life you save may not be worth it, but come on man.

Judge Declines to Silence Trump, But Bars Comment on Witness Testimony
by Joel B. Pollak11 Aug 2023
Judge Tanya Chutkin ruled Friday in Washington, D.C., that former President Donald Trump will be allowed to comment on his case publicly, but will not be allowed to comment on witnesses or to reveal witness testimony, including videos and transcripts.
The protective order largely rejected Special Counsel Jack Smith’s effort last Friday, in an emergency motion, to stop Trump from commenting on any of the evidence turned over by prosecutors to defense attorneys as part of the discovery process of the trial.
Critics said that Smith’s proposed protective order was an attempt at election interference, since it would silence the leading opposition candidate in the presidential campaign.
Trump’s lawyers, in their response, also cited a tweet by President Joe Biden — adopting the “dark Brandon” persona — in which he seemed to be relishing Trump’s imminent arraignment in Washington...

Remember, you may not be successful in saving them from chocking to death (meh, schtuff happens) - but look at all the practice you're gonna get in the coming weeks.
Honestly, it's a rather half-pregnant ruling to say the least.Though the CFTs will see it as being an aborted ruling. So there is that...
