Also, you don't need to be so condescending to those who want to thank you for your service. My father and several uncles were members of the greatest generation and fought either in Europe of against Japan during WWII, so we all grew up with respect for those who served. During the closing years of Vietnam I was in high school junior ROTC and we had heard from our instructors (SCPO and LCDR Navy) how badly the veterans returning from Vietnam were treated. So over the decades we learned our lesson, to treat the members of our services with respect, maybe buy them breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The US went to war vs NK and Nam in order to stop the spread of Communism in that region. They wanted to install American imperialism, but ultimately failed.

People forget the United States invented Al Queda. Osman Bin Laden was a CIA asset who we used to proxy fight the Russians in the 80's. The US Military and CIA trained the the Afghan Mujahideen which later turned into the AL Queda. Then elements of Al Queda turned into ISIS.
Both wars in Iraq were fought under false pretenses made up by the USA.

Republican backed companies, Halliburton / KBR made billions off of both wars. This is a known fact.
Thousands of dead US TROOPS fighting corporate wars. Hundreds of thousands of dead Afghan and Iraq civilians as a result.
