Does anyone stay for Mardi Gras and enjoy the party or do you leave town to escape the insanity?

When my children were younger we always left town and we did our yearly family trips . It was important to have those memories with family especially those years as a parent you will never get back . I enjoyed those moments and memories to escape the madness. I am not a big party person nor do I like crowds.

These past few years I have been blessed with FMTY however this year I will be here in Metairie hoping to have some fun .

I know people either love Mardi Gras or they can do without .

I just limit my outings. As fat tuesday gets closer when not working I only go out if need be.

Since moving to the North shore I just cherry pick my favorite parades during the season and treat fat Tuesday as a family reunion.
