True story: I went to see a show by the Who in Newark. Joan-fucking-Jett....whom I despise as a talentless fuck...was supposed to open. And I was bummed, cuz I didn't wanna put up with that.
At the last minute, it was announced that Joan couldn't make it. And that Tal was stepping in to take her place. Whew! THAT is someone who deserves to open for Pete....and to play with Jeff, my fav of all time.
If you wanna see more of Jeff and Tal...look for a film of them performing at Ronnie Scott's in London. Great show!
(now it's time for all the Joan-lovers to start bashing poor ol' Roo. Yeah...talentless fuck. "I Love Rock and Roll" has to be the most simplistic, dumbass "Rock" song ever)

Jeff Beck was a legend. A truly unique player. There are very few players who can't be imitated , Beck was one.
As for Joan, I never payed much attention to her band. I always thought of her as a Suzi Quatro wannabe. She ruined Crimson and Clover. Nails on a chalkboard.
