The virus could care less.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I am not an anti vaxer, or what ever you call the shot. If it does help people survive Covid after testing positive, then go for it.
The crime is the total ignoring of natural immunity. I had Covid. I did get vaccinated afterward, just to be on the safe side. But my anti-body count was very high after I had it, which is probably why the vaccine did nothing more than waste 15 minutes of my life.
But. The next time they come up with all of their bullshit, the entire Country should say……”Fuck You”
Why????? The virus could care less.

The mask thing never was a big deal to me. The mask mandate was not enforced by the local government where I live, ever. I've asked around, including in this forum, if anyone knows a single person in Texas who was fined for not wearing a mask. No one does.
If private businesses want to enforce a mask rule, they should be able to do that. I'd argue government offices should have that latitude too.
Now you could argue about how effective masks were, given that most masks people were wearing weren't of the N95 or KN95 variety. And people didn't wear them at home so one family member could spread it to everyone. I thought they were a small annoyance, compared to the benefits of buying time until we developed immunity through vaccines that would protect us from the worst effects of the disease.
I've been wearing KN95 and N95 masks from time to time since COVID started, although not often lately, and got the vaccine and two boosters. Unlike most of my friends who weren't as anal, I've never come down with it.

Yet. You're going to be as lucky avoiding it as you will be the common cold - which is also a coronavirus 20-40% of the time.

I still see people wearing masks. I also see people driving around with a Mask hanging over their Rear View Mirror so the sun and heat radiating through the windshield can nourish the festering Bacteria that colonize in the fibers of the mask. When they put it back on they are just recycling Bacteria back into their lungs and if they have any degree of Periodontal Disease that's even worse.

That's another thing, in 2-1/2 years I've only had the common cold once. I used to get it 2 or 3 times a year. Thank you Dr. Fauci, for recommending masks!!!

What makes you think the mask is responsible for that?

Really? With the vast majority of masks being ineffective as you have pointed out many times, can that statement be made? While the vaccine may have protected the individual from worse effects, we now have indisputable evidence that the vaccine does not stop the transmission of the virus and isn't that what masks were supposed to do? Was wearing an ineffective mask really better than no mask at all?
Biden and Fauci both told us on multiple occasions, that if you got the vaccine, you would not catch Covid. That at the very least was dis-information and at worst a lie.
I have no doubt when the history of this is written, it will say that masks had little to nothing to do with stopping the spread.

Not true. Did you ask people why their mask was over the rear view mirror or did you reach that "theory" all on you own?

You know Hedonist, if you were proffering your opinion on something having to do with criminal law, I’d take it very seriously. You know a lot about that. But on masks I’ll take the word of the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, the CDC, Dr Anthony Fauci, and my GP over yours any day.

The masks were probably partly responsible. I quit picking my nose because I was afraid of COVID. That probably helped too.

It doesn't matter why it's hanging over the rear view mirror. I know what's happening while it's hanging their. It happens to be unsanitary.
