Gore literally lost the election by a little over 500 votes. But any of the previous mentioned Democratic 1996 states going blue would have won it also. Nevada was the next closest by a few thousand... Gore was denied a recount, which possibly could have changed the outcome. Over 61000 votes were missed by the tabulation machines.

Yes, the 2000 election was a squeaker. I believe the Supreme Court made the right call, or at least their decision gave the presidency to the rightful winner -- see why here:

That is just Florida... The other 10 states that flipped is suspicious also especially Nevada. Maybe it was Nader the 3rd party spoiler in 2000. I say all January 6 folks that breached the Capital get the exact same sentence that the guy who attempted to assassinate those softball playing Republicans got. The Death sentence, he was shot and killed. In fact he was designated as ..."In a 2021 report, the FBI classified the shooting as an act of domestic terrorism, and the perpetrator of the shooting as a "domestic violent extremist" with a "personalized violent ideology."
