Default The NFL has a huge problem on their hand!!!

Brian Flores has brought a class action suit against the NFL. Claiming discriminatory hiring practices and throwing games!!!! He said he has the receipts!!! HueJackson said he was paid to throw games too.

If you go woke you go broke. It’s obvious all this pandering to the AAs was bullshit. Looks like the Super Bowl will take a backseat this year. Poor Rodger.

That and the “Black National Anthem”. What a fraud. Tomlins the only AA HC in the NFL.

I didn’t like the bullshit about “tanking” games that Flores ratted him out on. Tanking has gone on for years. Hell I may be wrong but I think the Pens ranked. You don’t rat on your owner for that. Don’t have to agree but that should have stayed between the two of them.
Rooney rule doesn’t work anyway. Make a min number of required AA assistant coaches and let them earn the HC jobs.

... Surely don't wanna be "odd-face Ollie" here, mates.
But "tanking" surely happens in other sports.

Tennis, for example... Players tank all the time.
And have admitted it.

... Football teams tank also, seen it in Cup qualifying.
Trying NOT to lose. ... A draw is fine.

... So it shouldn't be any surprise that it happens in
American football... Not even sure IF the NFL has rules
and laws against it.

If Hue Jackson was paid to throw games, he has to be a multi-millionaire. The dude sucked as being a coach

I have to laugh at the woke NFL - with all their bullshit phrases and this joke of a Rooney Rule. Teams compete in the league - teams are going to hire the best person they think that fits their team and can help them win, period. The whole notion of having to interview x number of people because they are a certain race is a joke. Let teams just interview who they want and hire who they believe is the best person for the job

To me the NFL started it's downs slide with the its all about me players, the likes of Neon Deion.

Its gotten to the point there are players pounding their chests running to the end zone when they make a play they should have, when they are losing big time.

For me the final straw was the kneelers. Colin Kaepernick opted out of his contract and test the free-agent market after the 2016 season. With $14.5 million guaranteed in 2017, why would he do this.

He was kneeling the last year he played for SF, to me him kneeling was why no one wanted him.
I didn't watch one football game the year of the kneelers.

Then the likes of BLM people taking peoples drinks at tables at outside seating in Pittsburgh and threatening to beat the people up they took their drinks from, wouldn't most consider this going to a game and possibility put themselves in this position.
The liberal city leaders that support this type thing in my opinion have skin in the game in ruining football. Why would anyone put them selves out there for ridicule just because they are white.

The liberals have ruined so many things with everything is racist. Throwing games is just another excuse to blame someone else because your not getting what you want.

Pete Rose was thrown out of baseball because he bet on games and not allowed in the Hall of Fame, is that racist.

The NFL came out immediately and said the lawsuit is meritless. How do they know? I would think the gaming industry cares about tanking. Fans who paid good money for season tickets care about it. It’s a class action lawsuit so others can join in. The racial aspect certainly makes the NFL look like hypocrites. I’m sure Goddell and the owners don’t want to deal with this before the SB. Maybe Snoop Dog will cancel his halftime show. In any case, ist a stain on the almighty shield.

It will eventually come out that the majority of games are fixed. I've been betting on sports for roughly 20 yrs and when you notice how close vegas gets it to the spread it's pretty sick. How can someone predict it that closely? How do they account to a player's mindset, physical health that day, etc?

I hate sounding like a conspiracy theorist on this but go back the past 4 yrs and look at the scores of the Sunday, Monday, and Thurs prime time games. Look at how many were won on the final drive. Or how many over/under totals were affected on the final drive of the game.

Since gambling was regulated in many of the US states the ammt of blowouts have also went down considerably. Is it the ref's? Is it Vegas? Are teams all tanking? It's something to consider.

Here is something for you all to do as homework. Look at NBA scores for a week. Notice how the big favorite always ends up down 10+ points at the end of the first half. They will magically start hitting all of their shots and will go on to either win or cover the spread by 1-2 pts. It happens with almost every single NBA game like clockwork.

1983-1984 NHL season and draft. Mario says it all.

Who brags on the person or company that fires them.

Hugh Jackson was mistreated by the Browns when they fired him, really. The ownership of the Browns was also the issue, still is.

This is all about sour grapes, being fired and poor me.

Teams tank all the time. Who cares. Fuck the gambling industry.

* The Penguins tanked to get Mario
* The Pirates have tanked the last several years to rebuild
* The Astros tanked for a number of years to rebuild and win the World Series
* Why would anyone be surprise or care that NFL teams tanked to get higher draft picks

Happens all the time in every sport

I know it does. 1918 Blacksox come to mind. So does Sonny Listen. I can name a hundred others. But when you think about a guy like Shazier, who goes all out to win and now has trouble walking. If an owner and coach can look in the mirror for tanking, good for them.

There were 9 HC jobs available this year in the NFL. 6 were filled by white guys so far. The Rooney rule at its finest! The lawsuit is meritless!!!!Just sayin.

I mentioned this in the Ben thread I started.

It's similar to what I have heard from many people in the service industry, one friend of mine who is part of a small restaurant chain, told me they have had so many issues with black employees, they have ended hiring anyone black, its an officially unofficial policy.

The final straw was when a guy left a resume, and came back 6 months later, and asked for it back, they said they didn't have it, and apologized, a few weeks later, they got a letter from the states AG telling them they violated a state law by discarding it, and had to keep resumes for a certain period of time.

They researched it, and found out the guy did it withs dozens or restaurants, why?

Because the fine they paid, went to him, basically, he's using the law to make an income.

With the entitlements they feel they have, once you hire them, you can't fire them, just like Mike Tomlin.
