That's part of this place as well and it also generates clicks.

A thriving forum generates more content, more clicks and more networking and that's where I see the imbalance being a drag on the culture. And the political bullshit being so prevalent perhaps is a symptom of a larger problem. I say this as one of the vocal. We know that there's a substantial lurker community. I'm interested in converting those lurkers to posters.

In getting MORE intel as a result. MORE opportunities to sample local talent and get info on traveling talent. Not in being part of a lunch clique and us all being fucking buddies. But in some more civility.

And a more entertaining place to bullshit from time to time. It's not just about hookers. As the OP I can confirm that I am looking at that AND if it's depressing other types of discussions and content

You joined this site in 2019. Bam has been here since 2010, I have been here since 2012, AG has been here since 2013, Chizzy has been here since 2010. I won't speak for them but I will say we know a hell of a lot more of the history of ECCIE in Pittsburgh than you do.

The fact is 99% of hookers rarely participated here. Had zero to do with any off topic threads. Rather they didn't like that this site was hobbyist oriented so they stuck to Indys which was provider oriented. Once someone ran Indys into the ground, very few ever came over here. But they left when Eccie removed their ability to post ads

So there is no drag on any culture. Actually for as piss poor as the hobby environment is in Pittsburgh these days, this board is still quite active and thriving. This forum gets a lot of clicks. It is the hobby itself that is not thriving for a variety of reasons. But none of those reasons have anything to do with what people discuss in off topic threads.

People are going to talk about what they are interested in. If you don't like that, that is your problem, not everyone elses.

What “gets under my skin”. ( doesn’t really but I’m distracting myself from my actual assignment right now) is that you have no other ammunition against me so you keep bringing up this other person with which you also seem to have an obsession with.
