finally, a statesman
Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia has made a decision to withdraw his support for President Biden's Build Back Better Act.
On "Fox News Sunday," Manchin said he could not support the president's roughly $1.75 trillion plan, which includes provisions to fight climate change, expand the social safety net, increase taxes on the wealthy and more.
"I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation. I just can't. I've tried everything humanly possible. I can't get there," Manchin said, citing concerns over inflation, the national debt and the COVID-19 pandemic that he explained in a lengthy statement following his television appearance.

I think the CBO saying the real cost of BBB without all the "gimicks" was closer to 6 trillion deal with a 3 million deficit might have been all the ammunition Manchin needed to take a principled stand.
Look what these assholes are calling you Senator Manchin! Time to dump the Socialists!

You have no idea what I would have considered, except to keep following me around with your same crap.
You are out of your mind with your severe case of Biden derangement syndrome, your pervert thread, and your fraud links. Just stay with your pervert thread and answer yourself there, since no one else but you is interested.

I guess he means they want a system where you get it only if you can afford it.
What Are the GOP’s Views on Health Care?
https://www.wsj.com/articles/what-ar...re-11606934416
Quote:
A large, and controversial, source of revenue would be reforming the tax code’s exclusion of employer-sponsored insurance. Whereas President Obama tried imposing a 40% excise tax on high-cost employer health plans—the Cadillac tax—some conservatives have proposed converting the exclusion into a fixed deduction. Proponents argue that these changes would discourage inefficient health-care spending and make the code fairer toward people who don’t get insurance through employers. Unions want to preserve the exclusion because they take credit for negotiating generous employer plans. Some conservatives worry about destabilizing a pillar of the private health system.
