I'm being sarcastic, of course, at least as far as Trump and the rebound from the COVID lockdowns is concerned. I do believe Republican state government, and Republicans in general, are better at creating conditions that lead to full employment in the private sector. Yes, Biden's American Rescue Plan did goose the economy. But at the same time it extended benefits not to work. So I'm not sure it had a positive effect on employment. It did add to inflationary pressures.
