Private restaurants and meeting places

Looking for tips on low visibility restaurants and meeting places in WNY. In Buffalo, I've found some sit-down sushi and Asian food restaurants have little traffic on a weeknight and can be suitable (and good food). Would be great to find a place with a private booth, or a configuration where it's easy to work the initial awkward greeting and escape to eat and chat.

Uber Eats. You can order from practically anywhere and visibility as low as you care to make it.

Neat on Transit; request to sit upstairs and the booths have high dividers for added privacy. if haven’t met yet, give description of what wearing so no awkward eyes roaming around and if big age difference, keep hands to self upon initial greeting, Dad/Uncle. lol.

Most nicer Japanese joints have a darker ambiance, so good choice. Can’t think of any with a private booth off top of my head.

If you’re that worried about being seen that you risk ruining your time…do what Woody said.

Get a hotel at the Delavan and order downstairs from Salvatore’s…eat in room and easy, quicker access to dessert ��

Thanks for the feedback. Good ideas Lexi! Yeah I'm more of a slow roller and just do SA hoping to find a gem here and there. Not looking to host on the first meet.

Good question GBO. I have struggled with that same question for my SA dates. I generally meet in restaurants that are located **inside** the hotels.

Locals generally don't go there and they are not crowded during off-peak hours. It also gives you a nice cover of meeting an out-of-town client in the unfortunate event that you do run into someone.

I generally meet either during pre-lunch or post-lunch hours. Early morning breakfast meeting has also worked for me. I also indicate to the wait staff sitting us that it is going to be a business meeting so a quite table is preferred. Evenings are generally more crowded and I avoid meeting during that time. The only exception is that if I am doing a dinner+arrangment combo. Then, if the dinner goes as planned and both parties are in agreement, I just get a room in that same hotel during the dinner. Using an app of course, not at the front desk. It is way cheaper to use an app.

This has consistently worked for me so far. Hope this helps.
