If Contagion gave you paus for thought, Read tom Clancy's novel "Rainbow Six'. and think it over. Then read "The Andromedia Strain" by (Ok IO foprget).

There are other fictional accounts of Pandemics.

Now recall that the current pandemic (whatever you want to call the virus) although it is deadly in a tragic way is "only" 1% fatal, some say less. Some will quibble over that number . . .please lets not. Then consider that the "Black-Death" or Beubonic Plague was over 30% fatal.

That pots today's troubles into a different perspective.

I am over 70, so the decision to get vaccinated was sort of a no-brainer. The "elderly" die from this thing. Everyone else should talk with their doctor before deciding to get the shot(s) or not. Its not actually a vaccine as the Polio shots were. Its more of what I would call a "ore-treatment" so when you do get it it won't kill you outright.
