Many on the left (including Spongebob) claim that Squidward is an egotistical buffoon who works at a fast food restaurant, despite having a higher education than his colleague Spongebob, and is absolutely terrible at the clarinet and painting.

However, far right conspiracy extremists have noted that art and music are subjective and there remains a cult-like following of Squidward fans who enjoy his eclectic style.

Squidward Tentacles has always been one of the most relatable punchlines (or punching bags) of Bikini Bottom. Most of his appearance involve jokes about his talent, or lack thereof, according to the showrunners of Spongebob Squarepants. However, looking back, Squidward might not have been that mediocre of an artist.
