If I was several of you in this thread, I would be more worried about my boss asking for GED results with the way you talk about vaccines.

My company announced that vaccines are going to be mandatory for all employees unless you have a religious or medical reasons. Everyone who doesn't provide proof or obtain an exemption will get promoted to customer.

Yes, its a patient number and in theory I could be found out... but we have an e-verify system in the US that is supposed to validate eligibility to work in the US. Hell even Barack Obamas SSN doesn't show he's eligible... how likely is it that the government will get a full vaxx DB working?
It's just a theater trick...show the pass and collect $200... that's it. It's not going to be verifiable without a bit of leg work and employers barely check that shit now... and at my level, they aren't going to bother... you are either a valid hire because of your knowledge or you aren't... degrees and all that other shit are meaningless at the interview.

Not having a functioning E-Verify system is a feature. No employer wants that system.
Employers do want a functioning vaccine database, those sick covid employees drive up medical costs significantly. Don’t think insurers are not demanding the stats on how many employees are vaccinated and will adjust health care premiums based on this.
This is one of the big flaws in tying healthcare to your employer. Your company has a vested interest in you getting vaccinated.

Grace - Again thanks for your insight. When you say they can check the info on the card, what information can be checked? Is there a central database? Is there a way to check vax lot numbers, vax locations etc?

The vax lot numbers are geographically tied. That one I do know. In terms of a database, I think that also depends on where a person is getting the shot. If you're trying to create a fake vaxx card, definitely do NOT claim that you got your shot at your local health department, minute clinic, CVS, etc. Better to claim a private doctor if you're insisting upon doing it.

My employer requires random drug tests and polygraphs, so yeah, I’m pretty sure requiring proof of vaccination is legal. Get over yourself.

The company I work for is requiring full vaccination by the end of October. That includes the 14 day window and we have to upload a picture of our vax card to a company database. I can say it's definitely being verified as we've had people fired for fake cards. They're also requiring vaccination for vendors who come on campus also. Medical and religious exceptions are allowed but they go before a third party board for a ye or nay.

No established religion actually forbids covid vaccinations.
Except maybe Christian Scientists, but they don’t even take antibiotics, so there’s not too many of them around anymore these days.

I have no issue with an employer requiring it’s employees be vaccinated, with medical exemptions signed by a licensed MD. If I have to go back to the office, I sure don’t want to get even mildly sick because someone was too [insert lame-ass excuse here] to get jabbed.
I got vaccinated earlier this year. 2nd shot resulted in mild hangover the next day. No. Big. Deal.
Risking your job by faking vax record is just stupid, IMO. Get a grip.
