Default Texas Felony Law Question

What up Texas,
I just saw an article online about the new Texas law that is in place now. I tried to look through the discussion forums, can't find anything. If mods don't want it, Please delete my thread, and my apologies.

I am not here to debate moral or the political side of the issue.

My main question is how is everyone treating this new law, are the cops/da's too aggressive? Are they targeting motels/hotels looking for John's??

I am not a newbie, so I would never ever respond to an unknown ad. I only see providers who are vetted with + reviews. Not some random lady. That being said, I still have to go to an incall, and wait in the parking lot for a few mins. The way the law is written I could be questioned as to why I am there and if my reason doesn't add up they can charge me with solicitation, since no exchange of act or money is needed to be charged with the felony. It might not stick in court but still you will have a felony in your name. You may have to lawyer up to get your name cleared.

Curious to know how you all are looking at this? or is it business as usual, just don't be dumb and use your common sense.

Looking at it through history, they can not stop the worlds oldest profession and they know it. They will not even try to stop it IMHO.....This law was probably passed for the reasons below:

1) Political pressure from constituents or colleagues.

2) This may be an attempt to re-route the business to something less visible or obvious.

3) Existing laws are very seldom enforced----This law may just be an attempt to put some teeth behind existing laws with the intent of not enforcing frequently as before, but to have a little strength behind when they want to throw the book at someone (probably for trafficing-like offenses).

I believe that this is a way to get to trafficker's through pressure on every level and an attempt to re-route the business away from in-your-face seedy behavior. My prediction is that we will see some higher level "bosses" go down and probably have every level of worker and customer roll over to help build these cases. The steeper penalties should give more pressure to "cooperate".

Definitely not ending the Hobby, but possibly changing how it is conducted and who is profiting the most.

Just my thoughts.
