I’m confused—who was arrested? Unless she got it not only dismissed but expunged, I don’t see how she could get/stay on with a Sheriff’s Department with that.
BTW, the cops are permitted to—and often do—lie. They don’t have to answer “yes” if you ask them if they are a cop.
