Boy, that's weird, I haven't logged in for a while, so, I do, and I find a point warning for having a sense of humor, and I'm called out in this forum.
The reason WHY you wan't local mods, is exactly that, a local guy knows the members better, and, have more tolerance to let special people, be special, because we know that what the situation is.
Now on the other hand, familiarity breeds contempt, and some people assume you are favoring one member over another.
May he rest in peace, and I mean that sincerely, but Stevepar was one of those people, and, ultimately it was his politics, IE, very liberal, that immediately made him question my role as a moderator, because Liberals intimately understand that being a leader allows you to become corrupt, and rule with an iron fist, destroying anyone you want.
As a Libertarian, my thoughts were more about "Taking over the world, and leaving everyone alone", translating to, if its not hurting anybody, don't punish anybody, on the other hand, when things are wrong, you put that shit to bed NOW!
