No they are scarce because they can work under the table and still draw unemployment... when that disappears they will have to work to put food on the table.
The laws of supply and demand work both ways.

I don't. They are making a smart play... why work for 1800/paycheck, when you can do nothing and get 1300/paycheck? That's a simple opportunity cost calculation.

If there is dignity in work, they don't need a wage increase. lol. People will be paid what their skills are worth. If you only know how to fold fitted sheets you're going to have limited job options... if you know how to fix a bad algorithm in a receiving process, you are going to have more.
