Covid vaccine for dogs
I'm don't want to lose my really great dog and thinking about giving him the covid vaccine. Anyone done that before?

Don't you think you should ask a veterinarian?

Not without confirming the veterinarians' political bias.

If a vet can't get the vaccine that probably means Dogs can't get Covid from man. Besides if your Dog can't Sing or Dance take your chances.

Evidently cats can, hence my concern. I'm vaccinated, so more worried about my dog.

Ok, here's the deal.
There's quite a few medical chemicals or whatnot that are the exact same stuff for humans and critters. However, the dosage used is different. Thus, a human dose would be way to much for a critter half the humans size (dog) or smaller (cat).
Conversely, what we give horses and other critters that size would way overdose a human.
It is this simple.
You need to talk to your vet.

How old is your dog ... in human years, please.
I think this forum is appropriate for a follow up question:
Is your social distancing plan not working out for you?

Eccie is a great place to ask for medical advice for your dog.
You're already off to a great start.
I would start vaccinating anything that moves.
You could even spray some vaccine around your house, like bug spray.
Can't be too safe.
