I think a better definition is needed.

Buy-off means the Dancer, her pussy-whipped Customer, or someone else paid money, so she could skip her turn on stage. This usually occurs when the pussy-whipped customer is spending gobs of cash on her, making it economically prudent to skip dances.

Last time I went to BDD, a buy off girl was one that paid out of her own pocket to not not only have to not go on stage, but also can access the VIP area behind the stage during the dayshift, bringing customers with her or she does her lap dances where all the other dancers do them.

WEC is correct, or at least that's the way it was when I was last a regular on Day Shift and probably still is.

Read again what he wrote, carefully. She's paying the club for the stage skips and use of the VIP area backstage. You can bet your bottom dollar she's not doing that so she can give you free dances; she's definitely going to charge you for them, probably as much as she can get away with.

One point of clarification, relevant to what Chung posted. Whenever a customer buys a bottle/VIP booth his dancer of choice gets to skip one stage round. The more expensive bottles/rooms may come with a skip for two stage rounds or possibly a full-shift skip. Guys will refer to her as being "bought off" stage, but that is NOT the same thing as what we refer to as a "buy-off girl".
