Not odd to me. Herpes takes something like 3 weeks to show symptoms, but you are contagious right away.

Herpes is different since it never goes away and it flares up intermittently throughout your entire life. I think you can build up a pretty good tolerance to where you don't experience hardly any break outs anymore, but it never goes away. I guess that's true for AIDS and any chronic illness, as well.

Since we're on the topic of herpes, you are way less contagious while not showing any symptoms, or rather while not having a break out. Though, it is still possible to spread the disease while there is no active infection/breakout, it's less likely, according to pubmed or some shit.

I think COVID is a bit different from a cold sore, though.

My faggot ass used to get cold sores all the time in high school, but over time I think I've built up some sort of immunity to them. I haven't gotten a cold sore in something like 5 years or more. And although it's still possible I can transmit the herpes virus while it's inactive, from my understanding, it's very unlikely.

When it comes to COVID keep an open mind. Don't believe everything on the news. Even better, shut off the news. 2-14 days is about right for all cold viruses. HIV takes 2 to 4 weeks.
