It is a lie. The original tweet that set this off has been censored from Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, but I listened to it before it was removed. The tip off is that the speaker said only 10% of British Airway pilots will be able to fly because of all the pilots who are dropping dead from the vaccine. That's obvious bull shit.

As the delta variant of the coronavirus spreads in southeastern China, doctors say they are finding that the symptoms are different and more dangerous than those they saw when the initial version of the virus started spreading in late 2019 in the central city of Wuhan....

The money the pharma companies are going to make off of this is nothing compared to the trillions of dollars they'll save by getting the world back to normal. The Pfizer vaccine is "only" 80% effective against preventing infection with the Delta variant, but it's much more effective at preventing hospitalization and death.

Authorities said that they had conducted 32 million tests in Guangzhou... China’s National Health Commission announced Friday that nine new cases had been found in Guangzhou the previous day.

What the fuck? They did 32 million tests and only 9 a day are turning up positive? That doesn't sound like a crisis at all!

Heck, the County I live in (Allegheny) is fully reopened, even though we're still seeing around 20 new cases a day, down from 1,000 a day at the peak last December! That's one fucking US county with 1.2 million people.

I don't trust any Chinese covid data.

Moderna reported 94% effective in clinical trials. No one was 95% effective. Where do you get your information from, National Enquirer?

United Airlines is offering a 5 prizes of free flights anywhere in the world they fly in any class of service for a year and 30 prizes of a roundtrip flight for two to anywhere in the world they fly in any class of service to those who are fully vaccinated and enter.

It’s 79% in the study but some of the posters here aren’t very good with numbers so I rounded up.

79% is better than many people thought we’d have back a year ago. We were willing to accept any vaccine that was over 50% effective. If every unvaccinated individual got the Pfizer vaccine tomorrow we’d probably wipe COVID from the face of the earth. Unfortunately that can’t happen, because there’s not enough of the vaccine and there are a lot of scaredy cats out there.

Levianon should note that the Pfizer vaccine is more than 79% effective in preventing hospitalization. The Scottish study referenced above said they didn’t know how much more effective because they didn’t have enough data. The Scottish researchers also said the Delta variant was about 2X likelier to send people to the hospital.

The study assumed people were fully vaccinated only if 14 days had passed since their second shot. If they’d assumed 28 days the effectiveness would have been higher than 79%. Also Pfizer and others are working on booster shots and new vaccines that will be more effective against variants. With mRNA technology they can develop the boosters reasonably quickly

It's amazing isn't it? I usually fly United or American. I am healthy as a horse and normally the only thing they offer me is a soft drink. So now any old decrepit fuck can get all kinds of perks as long as he has an experimental vaccine searing through his veins.
