The email says that the typical mask that you buy is not effective at keeping out virus.
I don't even know what that means.
Dr. Fauci just says random shit. I'm not sure what keeping out virus means, but it sounds like he's saying that the typical mask is not effective at filtering virus from your exhale, or perhaps that it's not effective from filtering virus from your inhale, or maybe both.
Was the mechanism behind how a mask can filter virus from your exhale but not your inhale ever explained?

Why do some people come down with Covid-19 and some don't, regardless if they wear a mask or not?

Do not forget about the individuality of the immune system of each person. Many are asymptomatic, do not wear masks and distribute viruses to others. Of course, the mask is not a panacea for all ills, but at least it slows down the rate of expansion of exhaled air. And since the COVID virus is quite severe, distancing will allow the virus to sink lower and not get into the stream of air inhaled by another person.

sounds like you made that up, though. I don't recall the mechanism ever being explained.
Also what you said there would depend entirely on the type of mask.

So I could walk around town and although I am not displaying any symptoms of disease I can still have Covid and can spread it. Do you really believe that?

Except for asymptotic spread isn’t a thing. Masks are about fear and compliance, nothing more. I see Branch Covidians walking on the beach or in their car alone and shake my head in amazement of how many sheep are willing to go baaa.

You can't. USA companies have moved overseas BECAUSE they can circumvent the environmental laws, the other liability laws and the social security and entitlements costs.

The "asymptomatic" thing is just a boogieman. Looks like you've fallen for Fauci, hook, line and sinker.

I like that "Branch Covidians."
Was at Walmart yesterday. WAAAAAY more people with masks on than two weeks ago when almost every business here in Houston dropped their mask mandate. Almost every black or brown person had a mask on. Almost every female no matter the age had a mask on. The scary part is almost every kid had a mask on. They've never been at risk for COVID.
America is at risk. Govt has learned how compliant the herd can be. We're in trouble.

MANY TIMES here and elsewhere. Of course there are those who don't want to understand. Moot point since advent of vaccines by and large, but why bear animosity toward those who choose to wear them? Their choice, same as those who choose to forgo.

I actually do believe that.
Let's say I have a very strong immune system, which I do, and that I get exposed to COVID, which I am almost certain I have, and then I get around people with very weak immune systems, even the very small "virus shed" that I have could very well get some germaphobe with an extremely weak immune system sick.
That said, anyone with an extremely weak immune system has had months to get vaccinated and if that person doesn't care about his own health, why should I? I have no personal fear of COVID I am almost certain I've been exposed to it multiple times since this started and I am none the worse for wear. People who are still afraid of COVID can get vaccinated, wear double masks if they choose, stay locked up in their basements or do ALL OF THE ABOVE for all I care. I am going to go about my business just like I always have and no one is going to "guilt" me into doing otherwise.
Please keep in mind that actually getting COVID contributes just as much to herd immunity as getting vaccinated. lol

I bear no animosity towards them. They’re retarded, so I’m sympathetic just like I would be with any other person with a mental disability.

The demeaning nature of that response is quite self revealing and reinforces my point in itself. Each individual can exercise their own option based on what they feel is best. Why do you choose to think that way?
