Good link Tiny. This was a balanced and objective article. As I wrote before there is no proof that the amino acid sequence of the Spike protein in Sars Cov2 virus was modified at the Wuhan lab. From the link.
Those insisting on a natural origin say the virus lacks genetic features that would show it to have been deliberately engineered. But it’s also possible that SARS-CoV-2 evolved naturally in the wild before it was brought into a lab to be studied, only to subsequently escape. The Wuhan Institute of Virology, which many see as the likeliest site of a breakout, houses one of the largest collections of coronaviruses in the world.
The problem is the Trump worshipers on here, like there hero don't believe in science.

Some legwork has has been done by someone described as an "Investigative Journalist" with a science background. I presume "investigative journalist" is some new-agey, unicorney, thing, 'cause one just doesn't ever see, let alone hear of, an actual one in the wild. Some say they had existed in history, but had gone extinct. You decide.
Try hunting for an article published May 5, 2021 from a Mr Nicolas Wade, titled:
The origin of COVID: Did people or nature open Pandora’s box at Wuhan?
He takes an agnostic view of two possible origins (paths) of the Wu-Flu and what both would/should look like. It's a long and informative read.
First three paragraphs:
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted lives the world over for more than a year. Its death toll will soon reach three million people. Yet the origin of pandemic remains uncertain: The political agendas of governments and scientists have generated thick clouds of obfuscation, which the mainstream press seems helpless to dispel.
In what follows I will sort through the available scientific facts, which hold many clues as to what happened, and provide readers with the evidence to make their own judgments. I will then try to assess the complex issue of blame, which starts with, but extends far beyond, the government of China.
By the end of this article, you may have learned a lot about the molecular biology of viruses. I will try to keep this process as painless as possible. But the science cannot be avoided because for now, and probably for a long time hence, it offers the only sure thread through the maze...

Welcome back. While you were gone I gave you credit for saving my life, from death by COVID:
https://www.eccie.net/showpost.php?p...&postcount=353
I was shacked up with a stripper for about 4 hours who had a nasty cough and kept telling me "I don't have COVID." The next day she called me and told me she tested positive for COVID.
Fortunately, I'd been taking the Why_Yes_I_Do anti-COVID cocktail, consisting of quercetin, vitamin C, vitamin D, Zinc, and melatonin, so dodged a bullet.
I'll check the article out, thanks. Probably won't have time today.

I agree adav8s28, natural origin would seem most likely. Maybe it escaped from the Wuhan lab and maybe it didn't.

I read that too. What's the motivation though to hide your tracks? Why wouldn't you use conventional techniques, which probably would leave fingerprints? Where's Red Dog when you need him.

If memory serves me correctly you, like I, studied science and math in college. That does not make us gay. Please do not confuse science with hairdressing or interior decorating.

And I thought this was about the "Anti-Bat Virus Cocktail"!
All this BS about the source of the Covid (making it sound like a bat took a shit and someone got infected with "Covid19"!) reminds me of the folks (probably the same group) who insist that the minute increase in the warmth of the Earth MUST BE DUE TO HUMANS .... while they ignore the decrease in the temperature of the Earth from around 1940 to 1970, not to mention the decreases and increases in the past few millions of years that have been etched in the layers of sediment turned into rock WITHOUT MAN AND HIS FOSIL FUEL GUZZLING 4-WHEELERS!
Oh, wait ... I forgot!
Just make up shit to keep the agenda alive.

This kind of ignorance is why I wouldn't trust ANYTHING you post.

Why TF would you trust anything anyone posts on here?
Detecting whether something is genetically engineered rather than a natural mutation isn't a straight forward process that yields a definitive yes or no. I don't feel like searching where TF I heard or read that. So, take it with a grain of salt, so to speak.
You got a problem with that?

Are you concerned that he doesn't "trust" what you post on Eccie?
It's difficult to find an accurate, legitimate review on here.
So he wants to do biological and genetic research on here?
I thought he had a degree. Or is that someone else?
I'm reminded ...

I'll second that. PFunkDenver, would you please stop posting your biological and genetic research about the origins of COVID on this site, unless it promotes the theory that the Chinese intentionally created and unleashed the virus as part of their strategy for worldwide domination. Btw PFunk, Strokey has had some insightful posts. I'd wager "gametically" was something the spelling corrector came up with.

The scientists at MIT could not find any genetic markings/features to indicate that the Spike protein portion of the Sars CoV2 virus had been altered in the lab. See the link in post #46.
Those insisting on a natural origin say the virus lacks genetic features that would show it to have been deliberately engineered.

Which doesn't mean the cells were not modified by humans. A problem with your continued rant is that you don't know what you are blabbing about and you are relying on the opinions of people who are dependent upon the Chinese government for financing.
You even continuing calling it a "virus" ...
... they were CELLS with humanly modified DNA!
Once you've overcome your natural inclination to sheepishly follow bullshit ... then you will be able to make a positive contribution to the discussion.
In the meantime enjoy your polluting ride ...

MIT gets money from China? You have receipts? You should go read the link in post #46. If you read already, you should read again because it went completely over your head. The question with the Sars CoV2 virus is how did its Spike proteins develop a such a strong affinity to react with a protein ACE2 found in the cell membrane of lung cells. Did this evolve (mutation) or did someone play with the amino acid sequence of the Spike protein at the Wuhan lab. There is no proof that the amino acid sequence of the Spike protein was played with by a human. If you or Rand Paul find any evidence of that we will be right HERE on eccie.net waiting to HEAR from you.
From the MIT link
This generated a startling result: the spike proteins studding SARS-CoV-2 bound more tightly to their human cell receptor, a protein called ACE2, than target receptors on any other species evaluated. In other words, SARS-CoV-2 was surprisingly well adapted to its human prey, which is unusual for a newly emerging pathogen. “Holy shit, that’s really weird,’” Petrovsky recalls thinking.

Yes, MIT does/did get funding from China. Many schools do:
