Everyone shot is on video violently attacking the shooter before he shot them in self-defense.

If you watch the video closely, a guy in a white long sleeve pull-over runs up behind Rittenhouse and hits him in the back of the head.
Then another guy who appears to be Huber rushes up on Rittenhouse from behind with a skateboard. This guy appears to throw his skateboard at Rittenhouse's back which causes Rittenhouse to fall. Just what happened at that moment is unclear because the camera's field of view is blocked by someone closer to the camera. But the next thing one sees is a skateboard on the ground rolling towards the left and the guy is chasing it. The guy grabs the skateboard and leaves the camera's field of vision to the left.
While Rittenhouse is down, another guy kicks Rittenhouse in the head. Rittenhouse fires at this guy twice but misses.
Moments later a guy definitely identified as Huber comes into the field of vision from the left and he rushes towards Rittenhouse with his skateboard. Huber hits Rittenhouse with it and makes an attempt to grab Rittenhouse's weapon. Rittenhouse fires once and kills Huber.
Grosskreutz then rushes up on Rittenhouse and pulls a pistol. Rittenhouse raises his rifle and aims at Grosskreutz which causes Grosskreutz to halt raise his hands and step backward. Rittenhouse does not shoot because it appears Grosskreutz is retreating and ceasing to be a threat. Then Grosskreutz lowered his gun and pointed it at Rittenhouse and stepped towards Rittenhouse in a threatening manner. Rittenhouse fires his weapon hitting Grosskreutz in his arm.
Further, it has come to light that the weapon was legally purchased and owned by a Wisconsin resident who loaned it to Rittenhouse; hence, the weapon itself never crossed the state line.
That weapon was never legally purchased. Rittenhouse illegally purchased that assault rifle through a third party, hence he had already committed crimes even before trotting on the street with that weapon.
