Don’t you all just love the revisionist history being propagated by our liberal friends.

If only RBG had retired in 2015 we could have avoided all this rewriting of history.

The Republicans blocked Garland and seated Barrett because they could. If dums were in control of the Senate they’d have done the opposite and there would be 2 more leftists on the court. All the whining and citing bullshit precedent that really isn’t won’t change a thing. Their only recourse, and hope to get their unconstitutional agenda to pass muster, is to change the rules by attempting to install a bunch a left wing justices into seats that do not currently exist.

fdr had a true mandate from the American people when he attempted to pack the court to fit his agenda

which would indicate that americans wanted his agenda

and yet, he was told no by his senate

now we have a pretty much divided nation, with the senate 50/50 and kamala harris having to scoot down to the senate in the event of a tie vote

and the house almost split as well

much less than any mandate

but we have dimocrats pushing a packing of the supreme court

why you might wonder?

many decisions by the court are unanimous, some are split 5/4 but most aren't

so that's not a reason

the court is able to perform its work fairly timely, so back log isn't it

I think what it is, is a dissatisfaction with the constitution and its protections, they don't like that

The court serves as a check against the legislative branch writing unconstitutional laws, and the executive branch from signing and approving them. It's one of the many filters that helps keep tyranny at bay.

By stacking the court and adding sympathetic, political judges that don't regard the Constitution first, that filter is gone, and a controlling party can just steamroll in whatever they like.

They unequivocally wish to be tyrants because they feel they know better than you or I.

they think they know better than the wisdom of the ages and the empirical proofs of the nations

their failed philosophies, they think, just haven't been tried by people as smart and "caring" as they

we are or were a constitutional republic

but when was the last time you heard the left refer to our republic? they use the word democracy.

plato calls their democracy an organization that comes immediately before tyranny

their thirst for power corrupts them, their pride is the repository of their "intelligence" and their "caring" is nothing but a veneer over their appetites

Democracy is mob rule. The purist form of democracy is an angry mob.

And I need a machine gun with 100 round magazines in the event an angry mob "democratically" decides that I no longer get to live.

And if that seems like a far stretch, ask Native Americans, ask the black residents of Greenwood Oklahoma, Ask the Armenians, the Kurds, and the Jews.
