Question about sauna use

So I’m scrolling around in Google maps seeing if there are any cheap spots along Bellaire I might try sometime and run across Happy Feet. It’s been reviewed as providing HE depending on provider, mood, etc. and their website is highlighting their steam sauna. happyfeethouston.com

Even though I can get the same results cleaning my garage in August, a half hour in a proper steam room sounds delightful. What is the proper protocol for steam room use? Steam, shower, then massage? Massage first? If I walk in without an appointment, and want a massage and steam room, do they count my steam time against my massage time? I assume I am not being entertained while in there.

The general language barrier at such places makes communicating such details difficult, but what should I expect as if I ask for steam time and a massage.

I went to happy feet a long time a go. Did not use the sauna but I believe you can use it on your time.

Never heard about any thing more than a massage there.

A word of caution if considering doing a steam before the massage, that is, what type of lotion or oil they use, your pores will be open and then absorb whichever lubricant used, there is also Hammam Spa over on Westheimer.

Happy Feet is fantastic for a legit steam and massage at a good price. They have windows on their massage room doors I believe, so I'm sure extras are few and far between. I usually steam after anyway, but you might ask at the front desk what most people usually do.

They have both dry and steam saunas there. You get a robe and slippers and a locker, it's a good setup.

I’ve been to both... I don’t think you want anything to happen at Happy Feet. And at King Spa, I just brought my then GF and we had fun in the girl’s locker room. King seems too Legit to do anything. If anyone knows different. Please let a brother know.

King is pretty legit, but more can be had with persistent effort and focus. Not consistently, kind of random.

Thanks guys. I ended up (due to limited time and NOT wanting to drive through Alief hell on a Saturday) going to WZ/Lavander.

There was a place in Chinatown called Canyon Spa. I used to take dates there and smash in the sauna. Good times.

Dun Huang Plaza, I used to visit a curvy lovely in an upstairs parlor on the back side of the strip center a few years ago, things are different now, I've been there since but not the same since she's no longer there, I never reviewed her due to it was supposed to be a legit shop.

you may need to make an appointment. last time i tried there, they were full up.
