Its been a while since 60 Minutes was a reputable news org. About 40, yes forty, years ago a professor showed a tape of the tricks 60 Minutes used to manipulate the audience like masking a persons voice and showing them in silhouette.

I remember when they showed close ups of interviewee's nostrils. Does Dan Rather still do stories for them? Even after the GWB National Guard letter debacle?

I would gladly take anyone of those names on that list over Cruz or Abbott.

Actually, you don't "have to live with" it.

At least he left off the two cum buckets from NY ...

Kumbo, the Governor, and ...

.. OAKBreath, the U.S. Rep who was almost attacked in "the Capitol."

As for Schmucker ... Little One prefers to forget that he begged Trump to have a fund raiser for Schmucker's campaign in NY (as a REP) down in Florida, which Trump did at his lovely home. Trump was always a good Democrat and still is.

since cruz is a senator

I was listing senators, in comparison, whom even the most pusillanimous, doltish creature walking upon the face of the earth would readily recognize as less than meritless

it was shameful, and now cbs has gone dark on any follow-up to the "investigative" reporting, not mentioning the purported facts in any further news cast

"a preview clip released friday before the show's airing on sunday showed a tense exchange between desantis and "60 Minutes" correspondent sharyn alfonsi over what the CBS reporter suggested was influence-peddling.

the story also condemned desantis' decision to vaccinate the elderly in his state rather than younger front-line workers. alfonsi went even further by casting doubt on desantis' reasoning that seniors were the most vulnerable to the virus."

dave kerner, the Democratic Palm Beach County mayor, went even further, accusing "60 Minutes" of "intentionally" misleading the country.

"the reporting was not just based on bad information – it was intentionally false," kerner said monday.

"I know this because I offered to provide my insight into Palm Beach County's vaccination efforts and '60 Minutes' declined. They know that the governor came to Palm Beach County and met with me and the county administrator and we asked to expand the state's partnership with Publix to Palm Beach County ..."

"We have confronted this pandemic for over a year. Our residents, like all Americans, are tired. And the media is making it worse. They are hellbent on dividing us for cheap views and clicks. '60 Minutes' should be ashamed," Kerner continued, adding that the program left his perspective out of the story because it "kneecaps their narrative."

the lame media wants to destroy any conservative that might be a threat

"Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis escalated his fight with CBS News on Tuesday, vowing that it is "not over" and that the network will be held "accountable." The post Ron DeSantis Says He's Not Through..

Friends are encouraging DeSantis to sue 60 minutes, time to dust off New York Times V. Sullivan for another run.

Sullivan, legal case in which, on March 9, 1964, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled unanimously (9–0) that, for a libel suit to be successful, the complainant must prove that the offending statement was made with “ 'actual malice'—that is, with knowledge that it was false or with reckless disregard of whether it was false or ...Mar 2, 2021

With a couple of Democrats testifying for DeSantis, it could be an earth shattering decision.sounds to me like CBS knew what they were saying was not true but decided to say it anyway. The Dems and their mouthpiece 60 Minutes and the rest of the MSM are intentionally taking shots at DeSantis, figuring he is the number one prospect for the Republican nomination at this "very early" point. They can't stop talking about him on both CNN and MSNBC even though his state economy and Covid results are better than both Newsome and Cuomo.

"Hey 60 Minutes" when are we going to see a hit piece on Newsome or Cuomo?

Did you hear Don Lemon's response to the Washington Post giving Biden 4 Pinocchio's on his Georgia voter law lies? Biden just "mis-spoke", it's not like he lied like Trump did. Yeah, problem is Don, Biden has repeated the "Jim Crow on steroids" line many times after the Washington Post reported he was lying. So, how many times does one get to "mis-speak" and not get called a liar by the MSM?
