Well, my friends who are coming to my house this weekend said they have received their checks and will definitely pay part of what they owe me this weekend with it. I fucking hate talking about money but I had to ask them both their financial situation. Anyway, I told them just to keep it and spend it wisely and we can square up at a later date. I would have felt bad taking the money from them. Those motherfuckers would have given it to me and asked me for it all a week later so no point in even taking it.

My friend has repaid $2000 or so of a $3800 loan. Haven't seen any more money from him for years. He's the former multimillionaire who drives for Uber. I don't press him.

My friend paid top dollar for a 50" HD 3D TV. He had a whole library of 3D movies. Had to wear 3D glasses. Gave me a mild headache. Supposedly there are "3D TVs" that can extrapolate non3D movies into 3D movies without the special glasses.

I find the Occulus type devices much more realistic.

I pretty much know I'll never get my money back. They both were supposed to pay me back in full over a year ago. I thought about getting a judgement before the statute of limitations ran out but what the hell is the point in suing broke bricks? I'd make more money if I sued my favorite couch. At least it may have some change in it.

My brother has a rule. "Don't ask me for another loan until you've paid off the last one." He also never asks for the money back. He writes if off when he makes the loan and is just mildly surprised when he gets repaid.

What stores do you go to for electronics? I know this has gone off track from political discussion but what the hell.

I buy all my electronics from Best Buy, including the computer I'm using and 3 flat screens because they are the biggest retail store around. Some products turn out better than others but I don't see a problem with pricing or returns.

ln - if you can prove One person other than yourself cares about the results of loans you made to your family - I will be very surprised.

self -centered and self importance on display - typical for a 'three Ivy league degrees " elitist.

Interesting...how does this post further the political discussion on "Where are the checks?"

You don't even know me. Before this pandemic, I spent most of my free time volunteering at a homeless shelter when my family was not around me. I also donated a lot of money to that shelter but I believe my time hanging out with them in person was more important than simply writing a check.

It is the best decision I ever made. I am no elitist. Every single person at that homeless shelter was my equal or better than me and I treated them as such. They ate what I ate. The food sucked there so they knew they were going to eat well when they saw me because I fed everyone. If you call someone an elitist because he prefers to spend time helping homeless people more than he wants to hang out with his fellow Ivy League grads, I'm guilty of that. Stop being a goofball with your silly accusations and nonsense about nothing you know about me.

This world is not about me. I am fortunate so I try to help as much as I can. You can keep bringing up my education but that doesn't define me. What I do for others that I don't have to do defines me. Fuck those Ivy League degrees. I only did that shit for the money that I happily donate to charities. For an elitist, I really suck at it. LOL

Since the checks are arriving the question has been answered.
So moving on is acceptable...what possibly may be bought with the stimulus...

I buy from Costco, Walmart/Sams, Bestbuy and primarily Amazon. Sometimes I go to Bestbuy and check out the product (and Fry's when they were in existence) then buy from Amazon.

I also check out dealsea.com to find deals on various electronics.

I haven't bought a brand new cell phone in years. There are various sites and ebay were you can buy an excellent used phone. Why pay $25 a month for insurance and then pay $150 to get it replaced. That's if they let you. I bought my son a Note 5 a few months ago for $125. The person at the store was amazed at the quality. He said "This is a better phone than when we sold them new."

It doesn't at all. He is just throwing his usual off topic hissy fits that makes sense to nobody but himself.

Now the question will be "When's the next check?" Some people have expectations of two more rounds of stimulus tied to Democratic Socialists "goodie bags."

Yep, people are going to want more when they get a handout. It's no different than my friends that owe me money. They always want more from me a few months later.

Your brother is right. You don't loan people shit until they pay you back in full. Otherwise, their credit sucks and they should be treated accordingly.

I would go to an ATM and take out cash and wipe my ass with it before I loan some of these guys money ever again because at least I'd save some money on toilet paper which is more than I would get from those deadbeat motherfuckers.
