What the deal with Turning Stone Casino?
To enter Turning Stone Casino you need to show your license and have your photo taken. What's the purpose?
Used to be, due to Covid19, they didn't allow travelers from 125 miles or more away to enter. That ended months ago.
I visit Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and they, as a response to Covid19, have thermal camera's taking your temperature when entering. They also shut down every other slot machine and limit number of people at gaming tables. TS doesn't do either.
So why the license and photo? Thank you.

I was there this weekend.
My guess for the license is that if someone there gets Covid-19, they can notify everyone that was there that day to get tested.
That doesn't explain the photo. I did notice that they used the photos on electronic billboards to show the faces of recent jackpot winners. So maybe dual purpose.
I don't like any of that shit. They shouldn't be displaying the faces of jackpot winners without permission. It makes you an obvious target for getting robbed while walking back to your car.

I live in Upstate New York, but these contact tracing reports seem to be worthless. At least in New York. Of course we lead the nation in deaths so that may say something about the way New York uses them. Didn't see a class that would include casinos in latest report from NYS.
Home/Social gatherings seem to be the main culprit but isn't that all we do!!! Over 81%. They break down the other 19% but it all sounds like social gatherings to me!
I was at TS today and it was crowded. I have visit TS and Mohegan casinos 4-5 days a week since June 1 when Indian casinos opened. Been to Florida 2 and tested twice to return to NY and was negative in all 4 tests. Only person I know that has had Covid19 was my nephew and he got it at home from his father! Maybe staying home isn't such a good idea.
Sounds like we need to get back to school and work and get out of our homes!!!!

You may be right.
I haven't really ever locked down. I. go out every day. Shopping, casinos, whatever and whenever I can. I wear the damn mask where it's required. My parents are in their late. 70's. They never leave the house. They have everything delivered. Yet they both got covid-19. I was in their house for about an hour to fix their toilet. This was before we knew they were positive. I was wearing a mask and kept my distance. I got it a week later.

When I won big at TS, management asked if a pic could be taken and I declined. Been to casinos in Florida and no ID required.

You seriously believe you got it from your parents ?
come on man....
maybe always wearing a mask would have been better, also keep your hands out of your mouth, eyes, nose and anus.

You have no idea what you're talking about. I wear the mask the same places everyone else does. That doesn't mean I have to like it. There was only one time that I forgot it and walked into a store, but that was around 6-months ago. I had Covid in early November.
No, I don't wear it when I'm driving alone, or working in my own yard, or shoveling snow. What's up with the attitude and insults?

I didn't know that. Do they ask you sign it after you win, along with the tax.form?

IDK, you got covid and seemed confused how, or where you got it.
probably gave it to your parents too...
You said you continue life as normal with no regards for corona, and seem shocked you and your parents got it...
no attitude there, no insults, sorry you were offended by your own quote.
My mistake implying a mask is useful versus corona, it really isn't much help, I was more referencing you saying you still go out about your day as normal like there isn't a dangerous virus out there killing people.

I said I didn't lock down. I went out to get my own groceries, and to the casinos when they opened. I did what it because I needed to get out of the house. I followed the rules.
My parents got it before I did. My father had symptoms before I was even there. He didn't know he had it until he was tested. I hadn't been to their home for two, months before that, so, they didn't get it from me.
But you go ahead, keep filling in the blanks with your own assumptions.
