Default "This password has appeared in a data leak" message on Iphone

When logging onto eccie.net, a pop up message appeared on my Iphone, indicating the password I was using had been compromised in a data breach. Has anyone else gotten this? I wonder if this means hackers breached the eccie web site and got passwords? Or alternately, if I were using the same password for another web site that was breached, the Iphone operating system recognized that and gave the warning.

Yes on my android I have gotten the same warning.

Just to be on the safe side I would change your password, including any other sites you use the same password.

Although this is for email addresses and not sites, it will tell you if your email account user name and/or password have been breached, and generally it tells you where/when. Spoiler: EVERYbody's email has been compromised at least once.

Well, that copycat website, Escort Reviews, was hacked recently. It apparently had data that mirrored ECCIE’s with the same usernames and same passwords and all. That might have triggered the warning since the hackers did dump the user database on the web...

Cheers.
