Hotels noticing?

No, but they can leave out a side door. I've been in a few hotels since all this started, and I've had plenty of food delivery beyond the front desk. Actually, all beyond the front desk.

The point of the question is when there are literally 2 or 3 cars in the parking lot. I have stayed at 3 hotels in the last few months. all 3 times there were maybe 2 to 4 guests total. It would have nothing to do with acting like you belong imo. I was just curious to hear others thoughts.

If your going to a place you don’t know, just ask where to go from entrance. She will tell you. Just move on through and don’t look around. Ask for directions!

I found I didn't really have much of a problem when I was in Des Moines not to long ago.
I did have a higher end hotel though that might have made a difference

Walk in with a book in hand is my deal. I then leave the book for my date instead of an envelope... confidence and acting like you belong is key. If ever stopped and asked... visiting my sister and kids.

agree, walking with confidence in. If i have to walk through the front and it's someone i am meeting for the first time, maybe talking on my cell phone saying 'Yeah i just saw the VIX on CNBC..." some bull shit like that so they think oh, he will be of no worry.
If it's a lady i have seen, i will try and be on my phone but have a paper bag from a local grocer with something inside of it for her, even if it is something from a retail store.
there was one lady, she used to want a 6-pack of cherry pepsi in the plastic bottles, so i always knew to get that for her and bring it in.
there are ways, course some ladies may just meet you at a side door and walk you up as well.

This. The next time I'm questioned by a hotel employee will be the first time, and on the Kansas side of KC their pretty proactive looking for hobbiest. Screen the ladies you see as well. Be wary of anyone who appears to have a revolving door, as this will raise interest. Then as others have mentioned just act like you belong. For the most part the employees don't care.
If you know the lady well and have a level of trust with her, have her leave a room key under the wiper of her car if she drove there. Then just let yourself in the side door and to her room. I have a few lady friends that I've worked this out with and it works great.

Good advice. I have a friend who does this very thing. She parks where she can see her car from her hotel room window. She leaves the key in or on the car somewhere so she can see when you pick it up. Then you can let yourself in.
