So eccieuser, are you in healthcare industry subject to payment for services? Ok. Lying is acceptable, since it is the internet.

When the system goes insolvent...NO ONE GETS PAID!
Is that a "good" selling point for Medicare??
What then genius....HIGHER TAXES gotcha!!
You are 100% correct about flaws...of the fiscal kind.
The gumment fucks up everything they touch...PERIOD!

According to the latest calculations, Medicare will go bankrupt in 2024. Social Security will run out of money in 2033 -- three years earlier than last year's report projected.

bb1961- where did I ever say Medicare for all? If your birthrate is 1961 by your handle, you are likely on at least Part A Medicare. The question was posed to small to medium business owners and independent contractors. How does the published planned offered by Mr. Trump improve your business?

Medicare without a LARGE infusion of capital is on the road to insolvency...but the gumment will rob it from somewhere else and the need for the massive amounts of money WILL require LARGE tax increases. When your outputs exceeds your inputs...then you upkeep is going to be your downfall!!

You brought it up!!
Your quote Kapish...

I DO NOT espoused Medicare for all, but one thing Medicare does right is have a relatively OPEN fee schedule

MEDICARE DOESN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT OR IT WOULDN'T BE ON THE ROAD TO BANKRUPTCY...pretty fucking simple!!
Plenty of companies bankrupt on in chapter 7 or 11 did something wrong.

The DPST's are running attack ads left and left - accusing every republican they can find of trying to end coverage for pre-existing conditions. While every Republican knows that pre-existing conditions Must be covered in any change of the ACA - that was one of the few good things of teh massively over-regulated and over-expensive and bureaucritc ACA.

as usual DPST's rely on Lies, hypocrisy, and shock value to obtain and control Power!!

Yes - Trump and the republicans are remiss in not developing a better national plan for coverage of all - including patients with pre-existing conditions. D)PS's are also remiss - for not doing the same - but relying on their dear to their bureaucratic hearts boondoggle of an ACA - which likely was designed to fail in order for Bernie to put in his One payor Medicare for all in America - which he would regulate as the marxist totalitarian he is.

Get over Medicare, that's NOT the discussion.
What's wrong with say, insurance A offering coverage for x,y,z at some price, and insurance B offering same coverage for x,y,z each at their own premium price, each to any subscriber willing to pay the offered premium, and open to any provider willing to do so at the price the insurance company is proposing to pay. Seems like a free market to me.

red puppy - it is teh discussion - because your Bernie- the marxist/Stalinist - will institute a one payor Medicare for All if Biden is elected.

All Medical insurance companies will be outlawed.

It is part of the discussion - denial is delusion!

No oeb, I never said one payor. In fact I said many insurance companies competing. But no one has yet said what Mr. Trump offers.

DPST logic - they know they know better what is good for You than you do - and will restrict your choices to their own judgements!
Insecure, controlling , power hungry DPST - and Bernie AOC and their Medicare for all single payor, and Soylent Green new Deal are classic examples of their 'socialist controlling largess"!

Second why did we ever start relying on our employers to provide us health coverage! That needs to stop!

I'll start by saying I know nothing about the health care industry. Having said that, I agree with you that we START with the idea that employers are not responsible for your health care and build from that simple premise. How we do that I am not sure but as I understand it, employers or lets just say "groups" get discounts. Instead of employers or union's getting these "discounts, let's just say every American citizen is now in a union or group or any word you want to choose. We all get the same break. I'm talking about working people making a living.

We will always need some kind of safety net for those that just can't cut it in life for one reason or another.

Another thing must be made abundantly clear. If you are not an American citizen in this country legally, you will not get free anything. If you have to go to a hospital, sure, we'll fix you up and then put you on a plane back to your home country, period.

If you are a citizen and have to go to the emergency room because you do not have insurance even though you can probably afford a basic plan and you refuse to pay your hospital bill which will absolutely have to be fixed at rates substantially lower than they are now, someone from the government will "access" whether you can pay anything towards your bill. No more freeloading off the tax-payers.

I'll have to leave these basic ideas to those a lot smarter than me but basically.

Everybody pays for their own insurance unless you can't and you damn well better be able to prove you can't and why.

Nobody gets a better deal than any other American, period.

If you are in this country illegally and you need to go to a hospital, we'll be generous and take care of you and then you will be deported.

We should have a flexible, workable guest worker program in this country and these guest workers wages and working conditions will have to meet the same standards given to American workers.

Now some of you smart fuckers figure out how to make all that work.

red dog - i have no problem with a discussion - but quote - Get over Medicare, that's NOT the discussion.

You can discuss insurance companies medical plans all u want - if Biden is elected they will be outlawed.

And DPST's will enact only One government payor for medical care - Medicare for All - go ask your Bernie!
Medicare for All is part of the discussion - frankly - U are ignoring the reality of what your own DPST party plans to impose on America! One payor - Medicare! and - DPST's know well that who controls the gold/money - controls the medical care - and they will dictate a bureaucratic morass hideously expensive and regulations to make it unavailable to most Americans - despite being the only choice.
