I wanted to see if I could get in the Nuns' Knickers. I kept hearing they were ''Catholic''. It apparently means something different from this Site's definition.

So it's your position that no money at all is better than 1.6 trillion? Why wouldn't it be a "compromise" to take what is offered instead of settling for nothing while people wait for something?
Let me add that politically speaking, it was a dumb thing for Trump to say ( add it to the long list ) that he ordered negotiations stopped making him look like the one stopping negotiations when negotiations had already been stopped by Nancy who said she has no intention of "compromising". What Trump should have said was "my offer of 1.6 trillion is on the table and will stay on the table" putting the onus on Pelosi for turning down immediate relief.
And the Republicans didn't "demand power" because they already had it just like Nancy had the power to run the House as she saw fit and go ahead with an impeachment she had previously said should be avoided without bi-partisanship. Well Nancy, there was bi-partisanship, 2 Democrats voting with Republicans against impeachment. There was your bi-partisanship.
Trump and Republicans are not "demanding power" now, they are simply doing what the Constitution calls for and allows them to do. They can't "demand" that Democrats join them.

Then you must have stumbled into the wrong meeting.
Good Catholic nuns were persecuted by odumbo's deep state, not complicit in its evil-doings.

Your posts are always full of plain logic and common sense. Which is why the lib-retards in this forum can't rebut any of them!

I strongly disagree. We've discussed this in another thread. Looking at the top 10 economies in the world, only China has done better than the USA in terms of year-on-year GDP "growth" for the 2nd quarter. All other countries' GDP's declined more than the USA's.
And median household income during 2019, before Covid, increased more than during the entirety of Obama's eight year term. Until Covid knocked us and everybody else on our asses, the middle class and poor significantly increased their share of income relative to upper income earners, something that hasn't happened in a long time. And I believe you can attribute this largely to tax cuts on corporations and pass through businesses as well as lightening up on regulation. This lead to a vibrant job market, rock bottom unemployment rates, and higher wages.
China's back growing again, and it didn't throw nearly the money at their economy that we did. I don't believe shoveling $3 trillion more at the problem is going to solve it. What it does do is make people more dependent on government, which is the Democratic Party's modus operandi. Keep people on the dole and you think you'll get their votes.
Put another way, there are some Democratic politicians who want to put the country on strict lockdown for a long time because it gives them the opportunity to pay a lot of money to people who won't be able to work. They think that will get them brownie points.
In terms of public health, the USA has done a piss poor job of responding to Covid. But there's no evidence to indicate we've done more poorly in economic terms than other large countries, except China.
As to what's going to happen if Trump is re-elected, it's irrelevant. That's unlikely to happen.

Yes, add that to a long list. Trump appears to have a political death wish.

You need SanFranNan's phone number? Maybe you can catch her in chYnatown making fortune cookies. If not, check the local hair salon. She should be easy to spot, she would be the one NOT wearing a mask.
